PC hibernate better with Vista

By Detector | 11 July 2008

It is useful to know that Windows Vista is software system which better saves energy of XP. This can be very useful for extending life of your laptop battery or increasing battery working time when you are on road.

In Windows XP, when you put your PC to hibernate, some of the applications and several hardware devices could override the hibernation process and continue to run. In Windows Vista, PC will no longer allow to applications and hardware to override hibernate process and stay waken. They will be warned when the computer is about to catch some sleep and their progress will be saved seconds before hibernation.

The real truth is that Vista actually listens when you command to go in bed :-) .
