This is the most comprehensive package of codecs available on the net and all over the internet. This is the latest and greatest release of famous ACE Mega Codecs Pack. I have used this software for several years now and wouldn’t own a computer without it. In today’s society almost everyone uses different encoding to suit their needs and budget.

Good:
This version has a lot of new useful Codecs (Coders/Decoders), Media Player Filters, Media Players and other Utilities. In Add-On Pack you can find Authoring Tools for content creation and Authoring Tools for video watching, audio and video processing. This is the first CoDec Pack with 3GPP (Mobile Video) support!

During install use the preset for professional, this will install ALL codecs for everything ever. The software monitors itself for conflicts so don’t worry!

Works with: XP home, Pro, and MCE 2002 and 2005, Vista etc.

Bad:
If you have windows vista & running iTunes it’s better not to install Ace mega codecs because iTunes will not start(error: iTunes has stopped working…) and you’ll have an headache trying to make it work again!

Recommendation:
I recommend using Winamp for MP3 sound files, and BS player for all video files.
