Google gaming?

By Detector | 18 September 2008

Google plan is to become one of the biggest names in Gaming history. But, how? The rumor is that Google is going to buy Valve any second now!

Valve is creator of games: Half-Life, Team Fortress 2, Portal and most important – creator of Steam, Valve’s amazing content distribution gaming platform.

Valve has the best content distribution platform. Steam may have had rough patches here and there, but they are almost all ironed out now, and just about everyone that matters has signed up to use it. When Google picks them up, it will be a clean kill.

Doug Lombardi, marketing director of Velve, announce that Velve is prepared to be buyed.

So, welcome Goolve, Gameool, just Games Inc. or something…

I don’t know if Google can puul this off. Gaming, in my opinion, needs focus to be successful. Even though search engines like Yahoo took on some game, it is pretty much limited to flash games.

But hey! Google had pulled a lot of stuff. If they manage to pull this one. Then Kudos to them

@Aura: Yes, I am sharing your opinion – for gaming business the focus is very important. But, if we look around we will see that Google has success in every field which they are involved, so, my opinion is that Google will have big success also in this field. Obviously, Google makes a lot of brainstorming and analysts before starting or buying any other business which are not directly web oriented.
