Get full GUI (nautilus) permissions for manage files in Ubuntu folder structure
When you start Ubuntu, in Nautilus, you have full permissions for manage files only in your home folder. Sometimes you need to change some configuration or delete files inside Ubuntu folder structure and you have no permissions for doing that or you must take control with terminal commands.If you don’t have advance terminal experience follow this easy tutorial how to do that on easy way with Nautilus file manager:
Press Alt+F2 and on Run dialog that appear, type:
gksudo nautilus
Enter your root password and Nautilus will start with full file access permissions. But be careful, if you don’t know what you are doing, you can change some important settings or delete wrong files and your Ubuntu system may not work.
