Windows tip: How to add TCP / IP printers

If you need to create a connection to a network printer knowing just its IP address in the network, follow next steps.

To add TCP/IP printer and create a connection between your computer and network printer do next:

  1. Start to add a new printer through the control panel.
  2. Select Local Printer / Next
  3. Instead of a LPT port, check Create a new port at the bottom on the window
  4. Scroll to Standard TCP/IP Port
  5. Keep going and enter the IP address of the printer.
