Windows tip: How to determine your IP address info

By Detector | 19 December 2008

You can determine your IP address information with some software or directly from your windows OS. Here is two ways how you can use just your windows to get your IP info:

Use IPCONFIG windows CMD command:

  1. From Start / Run / open cmd
  2. Type IPCONFIG /ALL
  3. This opens a command window. You can send the information to a text file (IPCONFIG /ALL > c:\ip.txt) and use it later.

Use VIEW STATUS information:

  1. From Control Panel / Network Connections / Double click the icons for your network (If the network has an icon in the system tray you can also just double click on that icon)
  2. Click on the Support tab
  3. Click on the Details button
