Wine now has 64bit power – Wine64

Wine goes 64bit when Wine developer Maarten Lankhorst succeeded in running ‘Hello World’ in 64-bit, natively! Wine is very popular and widely used for running native Windows programs on Linux, with impressive compatibility list of programs and games.
The progress was made but it has a lot to do before this will be able to get into mainline though – said developers. Wine development is running fast in past months with financial and knowledge support of big companies like Google and others. Wine is developed 15 years, and now comes the 64-bit version simply named Wine64. Read more here.
