Internet Explorer 8 RC1 available for download

By Detector | 28 January 2009

IE8 RC1 has speed improvements, new features, including a private browsing “InPrivate”, and many similar features like Firefox, Safari and Chrome. The new Internet Explorer has automatic crash recovery, domain highlighting for spotting phishers, and a safety filter. New plug-ins are called Accelerators. Users can choose from more than 80 currently available for download, while pre-installed Accelerators include Windows Live functions like blogging, e-mail, mapping, and translating.

The differences between RC1 and final version will be only “cosmetic”, there will not be any new functions, only bug fixes for final release.

IE RC1 is compatible for Windows XP and Vista, and it will come pre-installed on Windows 7.
