MacBook resolved problems with mini DisplayPort with patch

By Detector | 28 January 2009

Patch for Nvidia video card for Macbook / Air / Pro notebook should solve a problem with the mini DisplayPort.

On the Apple site, there is a patch NVIDIA Graphics Update 2009, which “improves the mouse when it is used Adapter Cable Mini DisplayPort to Dual-Link DVI to Macbook Air, Macbook and Macbook Pro computers equipped with mini DisplayPort”.

DetectorPro readers will remember that many users of these cables complained from time to time that they have distort image on the screen.

So far, it is not clear that this patch solves some big problems of MacBook or it is just like Apple said with decorated description “improves the mouse”. It looks like we’ll have to wait for reactions to the Apple users on Internet forums and blogs.

Besides the “problems with the cursor,” with some Macs, this patch brings improved play HD video on PCs with the GeForce 7300 GT and GeForce 9600M graphics cards.
