New ATI Catalyst 9.1 for Linux

After Nvidia, AMD comes with early release of drivers for the Radeon graphics chips. Although the drivers were named Catalyst 9.1, the new drivers not come with any spectacular changes, except full support for OpenGL 3.0.

Besides correcting some bugs and increase stability, fresh catalyst drivers not even bring a big increase in performance, which are in range of a one image in second.

For Linux users new drivers release bring much more. There is now support for hybrid CrossFireX on AMD Chipset 780G/780D cards and Radeon HD 3400 and 2400, support for Ubuntu 8.10, support for the MultiView and also support for OpenGL 3.0.
