Danger from PDF

Adobe has pointed to the existence of hazardous security flaw in Acrobat Reader and Acrobat.

Potential attacker can use this security flaw for intruding into computer memory with the help of appropriate designed PDF files and then rewrite malicious code into memory to obtain control over your computer.

Adobe points out that they know about several attempts of attacks that exploit this flaw. Patch for Acrobat Reader 9 and Acrobat 9 should be available in mid-March, while owners of older versions will have to wait little more. Until then Adobe advises users to update their antivirus programs and to be careful when opening documents from unknown sources.

Independent security experts have also confirmed the existence of the problem and according to their data primarily is infected several hundred computers.
