HD video purchases from iTunes Store

By Detector | 19 March 2009

Apple announced that iTunes Store customers can now purchase and rent high-definition movies from their PC or MAC computers, using new version of iTunes. The HD TV shows were previously available to buy, but HD movies were rental-only until now. Today the big screen 24 and 30 inch monitors can perfectly fit in home HD pleasure, but this took so long becouse of licensing restrictions by movie studios with a usual thought – when users can’t transfer the files to their computers, they cannot crack the DRM and exchange the movies with their friends.

HD “box office blockbusters” will be available for download for $19.99, and HD rentals of those new releases will be available for $4.99. The exclusive pre-order starts with Quantum of Solace and Twilight. Apple is promising that HD rentals will be on the store within 30 days of retail release.

Start download or rent here.
