New nVidia Linux driver 180.44

By Detector | 31 March 2009

nVidia does not intend to open GeForce graphics card drivers for the community, but as a compensation they get full hands working and releasing five versions of high quality binary drivers only for one month. So the things have really changed from the past where driver updates were so rare.

The latest nVidia 180.44 Linux driver include support for the recently released OpenGL 3.1, bugfixes for certain problems like OpenGL system crash (including issues with KDE 4.x plasma), corrections in VDPAU (Video Decode and Presentation API for Unix), and added support for the new nVidia graphic cards.
