Foxconn Develops E-book Reader

By Detector | 10 April 2009

As DigiTimes writes, Foxconn will become the manufacturer of e-book reader. The company is a manufacturer Amazon Kindle 2, but according to recent allegations on the market, they could jump with its own model. Sources close to the company claim that Foxconn has recently hired a few engineers with experience in the development of e-reader. From the company refused to comment all the allegations.

As Foxconn is known as a manufacturer of devices that are sold under different names, launching products under its own name for the company would be unusual, and Foxconn also will became direct competition of its partners. Therefore it is speculated that the device could be sold under another name. [via]
