By Detector | 31 July 2009

Announced last year in Photokina, Leica S2 DSLR finally should come on the market, for now only the British Market, in August this year. It is a camera intended for extremely demanding professionals who want a compact design and performance, and are therefore willing to pay as much as is required.

Leica S2 DSLR also has a resolution greater than 37 megapixels, and for comparison, it is between Canon EOS 5D and EOS-1D. According to an official statement of the company, they intended to provide “quality of the central format and ease of handling 35-mm appliances. From Leica also said that believe that this model “have the best professional camera in the world at this time.”

Price of Leica S2 DSLR and its equipment for the British market are 16,000 pounds for the base model, 19,000 for S2-P, and the lenses are from 3100 to 5160 pounds.

  1. burlesque performer says:

wow!.. i need to get one of these cameras!

  2. These cameras are certainly a work of art. It’d be important to find a high quality compact flash card that can handle the power of these DSLRs. Because how bad would it be to have the greatest pictures ever but have them lost since you were using a faulty CF card? Bummer.
