Starting from today, the movies from Lionsgate, Paramount, Sony and Warner Bros. will be available for download online in the DivX format.

DivX, Inc. and movie site Film Fresh on Wednesday announced that Film Fresh will offer new and older titles such as The Da Vinci Code; Spider-Man; Reservoir Dogs; Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon; Harry Potter and others in the “download-to-own” DivX format.

The moves can be viewed on DivX-certified equipment like certified digital TVs, DVD players, Blu-ray players, Sony’s PlayStation 3, and certified mobile phones. Is this already alarm for Apple and their iTunes service?? We will see in near feature.

Definitely this is the way it should be in movie business. We hope that movies will be with great video and audio quality and it will worth pay for it.
