Is not about technology, but it’s cool

There is nothing about technology in this article, but it is very cool: Sir Ian McKellen, a famous actor playing Gandalf in The Lord of the Rings – Trilogy, Magneto in X-Men series and many other excellent roles, has very interesting experience these days in the streets of Melbourne, Australia.

During a break of the current rehearsals for the Waiting for Godot, he was out of the theater for some air but wearing his scruffy threadbare costume of the character he’s played. Seeing an old man with dirty clothes, a young Australian stranger, according to McKellen, approached him and asked: Need some help brother? – And put a one Australian dollar in the Ian’s hat, which seems to be crucial for the overall impression.

We wonder, what Gandalf would say on this… No words… Wisely. Now that same dollar is his ‘lucky talisman’ and is lodged between two drawing pins on the board above his dressing room mirror.

  1. Hi, as a big Hobbit fan, I can’t wait for the Hobbit movies. Especially loved the soundtrack of the trilogy, and then found this on iTunes. The Hobbit – A Cinematic Journey. It’s very like the music from the films, even has a bit of ‘The Omen’ about it. http://itunes.apple.com/ie/album/the-hobbit-a-cinematic-journey/id455831618
