Symbian^4 is expected late this year

Symbian Foundation released a few pictures of the new mobile operating system Symbian ^ 4 with newly designed fresh UI. The UI still support more home screens with widgets, but now is possible to sort the widgets into categories and further customize their own preferences.

Other news are: integrated search function of all data, a complete customized touch interface, including the management of pop-up menus, menus and redesigned status bar. Besides Nokia, Symbian ^ 4 is used by other manufacturers like Samsung and Sony Ericsson, and distribution is expected as early as late this year or early next year.
