YouTube – new subscription bar feature

By Detector | 29 July 2010

YouTube has added a new subscription bar feature. The subscription bar is located at the bottom of the page and you can open it bringing the cursor near it while you are previewing subscribed videos.

The subscription bar is a playlist of your subscribed videos. You can choose to auto-play the all videos in order or randomly, or, you can just skip to a particular
video.

The functionality is the same with a previous vertical subscribe bar, but for me and many other people that is used to old and functional design it’s not quite useful or better than old design so what’s the point changing it? At this moment there is no option to disable or enable this function so we hope that will be added latter so everybody will be satisfied.

  1. Every time I get used to a feature, they change it. Then again, it’s true for all websites. I, too, preferred the prior version.
