Open source is used in 98% companies

According to researching of Zenoss Company, almost 98% of large companies in their business are using products based on open source code.

The study lasted 4 years and also shows that they are changes in general perception of using open source code. The users believe in easy set up solutions and quality of code for free or such a low prices.

In exactly percents, 71% of respondents in 2009 are used the open source solutions and they are convinced in easy setup which is big increase compared to 48% in 2008 or 38% in 2007 and 26% in 2006. Also, the 76% of system administrators in large companies said that they prefer to use open source solutions. In other hand, as a main reason why not to use open source solutions is poor documentation followed by software, but there is a big leap in that area also.

    I can’t see how 76% of companies would rather use sofware with no documentation .Anyone whos used Linux knows why Windows has dominated the world! its great for expert users but not for the average employee!
