HyperDock – extend your Apple dock functionality

By Detector | 27 September 2010

HyperDock adds Windows 7 style thumbnails to the Mac OS X dock, so you can select any open single application window just by moving the mouse on a dock item and select that window. This is a very practical method of quickly accessing a specific window from an application, which currently has several windows open. There is already the Expose feature on OS X for managing application windows, but many find it difficult to use and not as fluid as the thumbnail functionality of the Windows 7 taskbar.

Besides app thumbnails, Hyperdock can do even more, with hovering the over the iTunes dock item you can view information about the current song, pause or skip songs and even adjust volume just by scrolling on the iTtunes icon.

You can also check you iCal events just pointing the mouse to you iCal app and tha will display summary of upcoming events.

HyperDock is currently in beta and is free to download and test. The final release will cost a little fee, according to author.
