Don’t Drink and Facebook

By Detector | 09 November 2010

Nothing good happens online after 1am. Maybe you have a weekend party and regrettably send a Facebook message to your ex who broke your heart? Or Twitt to everybody how much you hate your boss or some friend? Upload some scandalous video on Youtube? Too bad that we cannot wait until the morning to end the embarrassment that follows after having an extra drinks at the night.

So, how to be protected from social media?? Web security company Webroot released a new Firefox plugin called Social Media Sobriety Test. After downloading a plugin, you must customize a variety of social sites from Facebook, Twitter, Myspace … and email accounts like Gmail and Hotmail, and after that you can easily customize you hours of intoxication, so before logging to the any social media you must pass a test. For example – typing the alphabet backwards. It’s not easy at all.

The plugin is not available for now as an app for iPhone or Android, so your only protection will be your common sense.

More info and download the plugin here.
