According to the newest results of mobile market research by Arieso company, comparing subscriber demand for mobile data has shown that different users and different devices exhibit markedly different demands on mobile networks. Users with mobile devices based on Google’s Android platform used a lot more data services than the rest of smart phones competition.

Growing popularity of devices based on Android is growing problem for mobile operator’s becouse users use their devices first and foremost for data consumption rather than making voice phone calls which gave a large data transfer increasement for mobile operators.

Only a few operators will admit that they have trouble meeting the demand for data services because they fear to lose the loyal customers. But they are working fast in the backoffices to settle this demand as faster as it can be done.

Arieso also points why users of devices based on Android are using more data services – due to Android better camera and video recording capabilities in high resolution and software that enables easy sharing and directly editing the multimedia content.

Android popularity is growing rapidly and in the next year should exceed Symbian as a mobile platform leader.
