Source code of Android 2.3 is available

Google, through its Open Source Project released the source code of Android 2.3. This move will enable all interested parties, from manufacturers of mobile phones, to independent programmers to adapt the OS to their own wishes.

However, Google is warning owners of the Nexus to not try to change something in the source code of this phone because it could cause major problems for the device. More information about what can and what cannot, will be available soon.
